So much to see… so little time

The more I travel, the more I think that it could be possible to stay on the road for the rest of my life and not see every country or place worth visiting. As my bucket list gets longer and I run out of money, I am more and more inclined to hope that one day it would be possible to clone myself in order to achieve everything that I want to do in one life time. While day dreaming on a train today, I decided that if I could have more than one of me, I would send them on many assignments including the following just to start with…

Ali number one would have to spend more time in Central and South America. She’d be covering ground on the long list of places that I didn’t get to see the first time, learning better Spanish and teaching English to anyone who wants to learn. I wouldn’t be surprised if she pops by El Salvador again to do some more artsy projects too. Basically, this Ali is living the Latin America dream…

Ali number 2 heads back to South East Asia; an area I have barely touched the surface of and yet so many travellers go there and know it well. High on the list is to visit Vietnam, so probably make a plan that starts there. An Ali clone at some point would also have to visit South Korea and Japan, so if funds for clones were low, maybe this Ali could cover this assignment too, or ideally a different clone would be available so that she could also live and work in Japan. Just to be immersed there (I don’t ask for much!)…

I’d like to see more of Europe. Meeting European friends on the road has made me realize how few places I’ve been to considering how accessible they have been to me for my whole life. Therefore Ali number 3 would be sent on assignment starting in Germany and covering a lot of Italy too. Again if I could afford more clones then I would send one alone to Norway, Finland, Sweden and Iceland. But otherwise European Ali would have to head that way too. She needs to soak up the Northern lights and watch some more whales…

African Ali (My clones are becoming like barbie dolls now) would head to Africa (of course – clues in the name!). I don’t have much of a specific plan for her, but animals on safari would be involved and definitely Botswana…

Then there would be Wildlife photographer and documentary maker Ali. She’d probably have to head off to film school or something first to improve on my skills as I’m basically an enthusiastic novice at the moment, but this Ali would dedicate all her time to becoming extrodinary at capturing wildlife photographically and would end up ultimately becoming a specialist in birds of paradise in Papua New Guinea. This would be a super cool Ali…

Travel Blogger and Writer extrodinaire Ali would write a series of best selling novels and travel based books, while simultaneously continuing to make this blog much better and use the knew knowledge of all the other Ali’s to include content from all over the world as well as being totally responsible and dedicated to the social media. I think the Alis would have to share a twitter account as this Ali would go crazy otherwise…

Fabulous job somewhere equally fabulous Ali would just be very fabulous and make a lot of money to fund all the trips for the other Alis as well as new clones to make sure the entire planet has been covered…

Finally, I’d almost certainly have a UK based Ali who gets to hang out lots with my friends and family, who are very awesome and who I often wish I could take in my bag with me when I am away.

Ahh, the dreams. Well, as the option to clone myself is still currently not available I shall continue planning my life in order to attempt to do all these things as just one of me. So, it’s going to be a pretty busy life from now on.

Where would you send your clones if you had a chance?

I’m writing this as part of a course called ‘Blogging 101’ which is run by WordPress and I hope will help me improve and gain some knowledge about blogging in general. It is a blog post inspired by a ‘Daily Post‘. Any feedback is greatly appreciated from anyone about any part of my blog.

    1. Hello – thank you so much for thinking of me. I will get a thinking cap on to answer your questions… just so many weird things about me/ wishes I have/ fictional places I want to be – how will I pick?! 😉 Thanks again
