Just wanted to write a very quick post for any other travellers thinking of doing the journey from Belize to Livingston, Guatemala as there is so much confusion on the road and in the books about it.
Everywhere says different things about the timings of boats and we met a lot of confused people, so I wanted to post that there is definitely a boat MONDAY TO FRIDAY at 1pm, not only Tuesdays and Fridays as advertised in the usual guidebooks. It’s Menos boats, bought from the pink hut near immigration and costs 55 Belize dollars.
We nearly left early because of the guidebooks but decided to risk it as we were in love with Placencia and wanted an extra day and it was definitely worth it š Maybe this post will help someone out one day in the same situation.
